Chinese takeout is such a sinfully good treat in my opinion. And one thing I just can’t seem to get enough of are the wontons. There’s just something about that golden, crunchy shell and the warm, gooey cream cheese filling. Literally, I always double the order. Then it hit me. Wontons are the perfect little vessel for an amazing desert. Think little mini-apple pies, but with a whole lot more to offer. Tart Granny Smith apples are cooked up in an ample amount of butter with cinnamon and then mixed with cream cheese to form a decadent filling. As if that’s not delicious enough, go ahead and dip that baby into a browned butter sauce that’s just, well, I’m at a loss for words. Perfect desserts for a large crowd or a treat just for yourself, because you may not want to share!
